Please view at maximum size. This is a "derivative map" of my previous large format film pinhole photo of the interior of National Cathedral in Washington, DC. The derivative map essentially depicts how quickly light along a given "row" in the image is, pixel by pixel, from left to right, either increasing in brightness (brighter pixels), not changing (medium gray), or decreasing in brightness (black). Note the over-saturated ceiling light, and how a patch of medium gray depicts the region of saturation.
