Opening

Samuel: “Greetings. There are quite a number of observers here where I am, as well as ‘down below’ surrounding you. Your dear friend, Teacher Aaron, is here also, and he too sends his greetings to all. We have prepared for you a lesson that has been covered on a previous occasion, although only briefly at the time. The lesson deals with criticism that is deserved or undeserved, and likewise it deals with praise that may be deserved, or be rather undeserved.

Lesson

“Let us first deal with praise. When you set about a task, and you set about it in a fashion in which you fully use your gifts -- all the ability that is there at your disposal -- you are quite deserving of praise. It could well be an embarrassment for you if you were not to use your gifts to the greatest of your ability, and still receive such praise. It could likewise, or even more, be an embarrassment to you if you were being praised for the efforts of another. It is important for you to firstly understand where praise is coming from, and secondly to whom it applies. And if it applies to you, do you rightfully feel deserving of same?

“In the same way, criticism that comes your way must also be analyzed, must be thought through; must be worked out. Are you being criticized because the person criticizing you is unaware of the possible gifts that you may have as a lightworker? Are you being criticized for the perceived mistakes of another? Most importantly, does the criticism actually hurt you, because deep down in your thoughts -- deep down in your subconscious mind -- there is this tiny little bit of doubt that perhaps, at some time in the past, you did get to badly misunderstand your Teacher’s lesson? You got to slightly misinterpret your Teacher’s lessons? You got to note something that was almost precisely on the mark, but not quite?

“It can be so very difficult to grasp, to understand, to clearly identify, these circumstances that may make you want to move away from, want to peel away from, the efforts that you have so long been engaged in. Do bear in mind that there is always a possibility that you can get a little something wrong, somewhere along the way, and learn to forgive yourself, so that the sharp criticisms coming from the unthinking have no impact on your work whatever.
