Opening
I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. I am filled with such energy here among you this evening. Sometimes our daily tasks can become mundane and it is wonderful when we can get a burst of energy or inspiration. In almost every undertaking we can find a lull and it is important to allow time to grow its roots to take firmly in the soil. As a mortal, I know it is difficult for you to bide your time and be patient with the outcome. I always have found it helpful to have some side projects to keep my mind from impatience.
Lesson
As mortals get older it is somewhat easier to exhibit patience, but then again, it is also easier to find a comfort zone and just stay there. In a way I can really admire the youth, for them there is no holding back. If they have need for expression, even though at times it may be unwise, they do not hold back. For the youth, their eyes are always wide open for adventure. Their minds are not quite conditioned to be concerned over outcome. That can be good and bad.
Mortals live a lot with regret for having held back in one way or another. There is always some meaningless reason to not take action. There is always a mode of self-protection. Many times we are more fearful of how we will appear to others than being open, honest and seizing the moment.
I am MARY. Greetings to you all. It is always a breath of fresh air to be among you. Holding back--this I understand. For someone like myself, so distrusting of the world at large, it was easy to self-protect. It was easy for me to sit by the wayside and watch life happen to others. The real work is in taking the opportunities before you and not giving in to how the ego may feel about it. I was always with admiration for our Master, who never took a moment for granted. If there was something He felt driven to do, then by all means, He would put forth His best effort to do it.
You know His family had hurt Him deeply by their non-supportive way. Even His own mother had turned her back on Him. The Master could have allowed ego to keep Him filled with anger and desire to retaliate and hurt them back. The Master saw that as non-productive and contradictive of the Father’s will. Not even having spoken to His mother for so long, there He suffered upon the cross and asked John to look after her. Even then He seized the moment to show love. His short time here in the flesh was all about service and He was so good at this because He was so good at self-forgetfulness. To serve is to seize every moment. It is to put truth, beauty and goodness into action. Bad things happened to Him in His life and He chose to keep living, to keep moving forward, to keep keeping His eyes on the Father.
What opportunities are we missing because we do not seize the moment? How are our egos keeping us from being our true selves and taking advantage of our time in the flesh? A child will run, fall down, cry, get back up again, only to continue running. We will be hurt in this life. Let not self-protection hold you back from living. Every time you choose to go forward with a decision you are apprehensive about, think of the Master going before you. He clears the way. With Him all things are possible. Life is meant to be lived. Be not afraid.
Closing
That is all. I always enjoy our lessons together. It is an honor to serve with you. We send you with our ever growing love. From Abraham and myself, we bid you shalom.
