Thought Adjuster: “It cannot be said that there is a conspiracy in the entertainment world that keeps the masses distracted so they fail to pay attention to the deceptions of those who try to maintain the illusion of power over their peers. Certainly, to be entertained is a personal choice and no one can say that they are being forced into distraction against their will.
“In the same way that life cannot just be work, it also cannot just be entertainment. More importantly, human life cannot just be work and entertainment, but this is how a vast group of mortals live their lives in this world. A human life cannot be dedicated to only two things, especially if these things are temporal and superficial. The inevitable result would be his or her living an unconscious life, without the realization of being alive.
“This is particularly evident if one considers that great advancements in civilization have occurred when the pioneers of new ideas, inventions, or discoveries were not working or were being distracted. This is the reason why a civilization completely focused on pleasures and material rewards sows the seeds of its own destruction, simply because those very moments that promote creativity are being suppressed.
“It is during the moments of calm introspection when the human mind can examine ideas, and connect to the sources of universal wisdom. This is the true purpose of meditation, to project your being beyond your limitations, and to make contact with the Source of all life – our celestial Father – and to see your own life from a higher vantage point from which you can make informed decisions, enlightened by a more spiritual and eternal point of view.
“It is during such moments when you re-acquaint yourself with your purpose, and remember why you are living this life. This is the only way in which you can make the decisions that will bring you closer to perfection, and where you can receive the creative impulse to positively influence those around you – your family, your friends, your community, your world, and the universe. By getting in touch with your true self, you become a more valuable citizen and a contributor to the co-creation of a reality closer to what our Father wants to achieve in and through each one of us.”
