Talk:Powermongs
Hi Rob-
I am exultant! We did it!!! That's what Eric & Judy & Mike & I yelled simultaneously in Eric's office after the Management -wide meeting this afternoon at 1:45-------that i learned of 5 minutes after I emerged from the overnight room of the hospital after a long night & saw on my blackberry. I knew instantly within myself that we had done it . . . that we had won out . . . that we did it, that we did a rare thing, we successfully staged a coup, overthrowing a petty dictator who treated others under her in an inhumane manner, disrespectful, and abusive manner, and poisoned an entire organization with her two and a half year reign of terror("culture of fear and intimidation" as it was typified by the state auditors").
When the chairman of the board of directors made the announcement there was clapping and then cheering around the room--which was heard--we were told later) by those on the floor beneath us! Later Eric and Mike & I were riding the elevator together and spontaneously looked at each other joyously and shouted in unison once again: "We did it"! --which was heard/witnessed by the case manager who had been the absolute last straw--being written up in February, the worst month ever for everyone for productivity, because she only did 95 %, (when she had been well over productivity for the previous 12 months!). I have been high fived about 20 times today & a friend and agency funny-man Matt around 4:30 pm got on the building loudspeaker and yelled outYahoo!!! a few times to everyone in the building's delight! Some people (including myself) were jumping up and clicking their heels and exclaiming "This isn't Kansas anymore" and "Yee ha the wicked witch is dead!" etc.!!! It was quite a scene. Now that we're free to say publicly what the "Vendetta 8" have been doing we've been getting Kudos from all over. I shared my poem / song lyrics (attached) over dinner--Two of my compatriots are punk rockers & I wrote the words for them one night recently so that they could yell them out at one of their local performances sometime).
Several of us got together after work to celebrate at "Vendettas" bar of course and toasted each other for our teamwork, perseverance, unity, and victory!
I can say that it has been an honor (as mutually expressed by each of us to all of us) to have worked together as we have in synchrony to attain our long sought after goal! I feel I was instrumental in mobilizing and galvanizing our group effort to dethrone the reigning queen of the "culture of fear" so as to move onward to what I have called a "culture of caring."
Yesterday has been one of a kind in my life, and I just wanted to share that a little with you since you've been following my adventure for awhile! I took a good long walk in the woods today and am smiling!
I thought I'd forward this attachment out to you, just for fun. Its written for the two "V-8" co-conspirators that have a punk rock band and we've been playfully thinkin of co-creating a new genre of music locally called "spunk rock" in which we integrate the ideas of Janov's primal scream, punk, and socially conscious lyrics, so I wrote these lyrics in case they can use any for their song material & thought you might enjoy it too.

Wow! Congratulations!!
I am not surprised, but it is good to hear that your determined perseverance has won the day. No doubt, this is but a prelude to the larger planet wide celebration toward which we continue to work together in spirit with all others in this conspiracy of love to overthrow the reign of terror on earth. For my part, yesterday, I exhibited books by the Daynal Institute Press yesterday in an art exhibit on campus (first ever public show here), and to my surprise, the young persons were eating it up. I haven't experienced such interest ever before. Furthermore, I met several persons "our age" who are intensely interested, and having read your song, I will work it into my presentation tomorrow to a small group of "inquiring seekers" at a church tomorrow morning at 10:00am.
I never thought "Onward and Inward" could take on such potent meaning, but by virtue of real human efforts, it is becoming clear why "divine intervention" is happening in and through us, as we are - even now.
Love,
Rob
Hi again Rob,
Thanks! It feels good to have my efforts recognized and acknowledged by someone who knows the larger story! Yes, I've never in my 33 years there ever seen such group jubilation throughout the whole building! I am glad to have such a foretaste at this time of the eventual planetary jubilation upon our reaching light & life not to mention those even larger worshipful jubilations that await us further on out in our never-ending journey onward and inward!
Wow! Congratulations! I am not surprised--Rob--but it is good to hear that you are winning the day with the Daynal and all associated knowledge & wisdom you're no doubt sharing! Wonderful! I look forward to more reports about your presentation tomorrow. I'm pleased that you like my poem / song--but didn't realize I was writing a 10 a.m. Sunday morning "sermon"! Remember to tell them about the context of it being written for a "Spunk rock" band, and that its intended to be yelled out with fervor--or better yet, Rob, give your own best a cappella version of it! Let me knows how it goes!
I'm sitting up in my cupola at sunset surveying Mt. Monadnock in the distance and contemplating life as it is in this moment of time and eternity and thinking of Richard Knox's song "all is well."
Love,
Dave
Hi Byron! We did it! --a small group of well-interconnected mid-level-managers successfully ousted our petty dictator of a CE.O.! I feel some long time in coming satisfaction for a successful radical action--since having first participating in them during late sixties! I thought you might appreciate this exchange below . . . start with my first post to Rob at base of page:
With Love&light&life!!
